Class: Year 4F Year: 2024 - 2025
This term in RE, 4F has been learning all about Judaism! We have explored the festival of Passover and the special Seder plate used during the celebration. The plate holds different foods, each with a special meaning.
- The bitter herbs remind Jewish people of the hard times their ancestors faced.
- The salt water represents the tears they shed.
- The lamb bone is a symbol of sacrifice.
- and the egg stands for new life.
- There’s also charoset, a sweet mixture that looks like the bricks used in building when the Jewish people were slaves
Every item helps tell the story of Passover!
