Nursery visit the Blue Planet aquarium!
Date: 5th Jul 2016 @ 10:18pm
Nursery children had a 'fintastic ' time on our trip to the Blue Planet aquarium. We explored the different rooms and learnt about the habitats that fish live in including rivers, lakes, rock pools and coral reefs. We saw lots of different types of fish, the highlights were the scary piranha and sharks, string rays, jelly fish seahorses, and even otters! There were other creatures including crabs, frogs, snakes, spiders and a crocodile! We loved walking through the underwater tunnel seeing the hammerhead sharks and stingrays fly over our heads. We even saw a special show in the amphitheatre and learnt how divers communicate with each other. The children all behaved impeccably and were complimented on their polite manners. The trip links in with our 'under the sea' topic and has inspired the children to create lots of independent writing and drawing in our classroom.
