Forest school fun! 🍀

Children in year 5 will benefit form fortnightly forest School sessions led by Mrs Armstrong who is a trained forest school leader. For our first full session this week we discussd safety rules around our fire circle by playing games, we did a team game collecting different colored 'worms' and we went on a scavenger hunt to discover our forest school environment further. The children went on to explore their environment independently and participate in their own interests. Children enjoyed digging and creating art work using the available natural resources. We discover lots of insects in our Forest School including a huge family of woodlice along and an ant colony who were busy protecting their larve. Next week we hope to introduce tools and a fire.
