We have been very lucky to take part in lots of exciting, practical science last week! 🧪🔬
Mad Science Manchester put on an amazing assembly packed with exciting experiments. We observed bubbling potions, surprising reactions, and fascinating science tricks that almost looked like magic! This helped us develop our observing over time skills as we watched changes happen before our eyes.
In class, we carried out a taste investigation, exploring how different parts of our tongue help us detect sweet, sour, salty, and bitter flavours. We used our comparative and fair testing skills to see if everyone experienced tastes in the same way and to ensure we made accurate observations.
These experiments encouraged us to ask scientific questions, predict outcomes, test ideas, and draw conclusions—all key parts of scientific enquiry!
