Lateness
LATENESS
Lateness is a significant concern for a number of pupils.
There are many things a parent can do to avoid their child getting a late mark; here are a few suggestions -
- Always enter school with the other children via the yard (where possible)
- Start your journey 10 minutes earlier if you are continuously getting to school 10 minutes late.
- Enquire about your child joining one of our walking buses.
- Aim to be on the play ground for 08.55, this ten minutes before the bell goes gets the children into a positive frame of mind and acts as a transition from home to school.
It is vital that your child has the best possible start to the day because a rushed, stressed start to the day can have a negative impact to the rest of the day.
If your child is persistently late you will receive a text messgae from the Head Teacher and may be liable for a fine.
