Reception's new topic 'People who help us'
Date: 27th Sep 2017 @ 10:23pm
I am sure many of you are aware of our topic in Early Years, 'People who help us'.
On Monday we set up a bit of a crime scene with footprints around and Mrs McDonald's laptop had gone missing. The children thought it was brilliant! Children immediately began speculating where the laptop had gone and who may have taken it. Next the children carried out a number of activities to solve clues and help to find the missing laptop. The children measured footprints and found the guilty suspect. It turned out that there were no baddies and the police did not need to be called. In actual fact Mrs Renshaw had just borrowed the laptop to do her work and forgot to ask. The children and Mrs McDonald forgave her and suggested that next time she needs to borrow someone's laptop she just ask.
Lots of photo's to follow!!!
Please share any comments or great ideas that your child has had at home. All vehicles must be in on Friday for the 'People who help us' homework competition. Paul in yellow group has already created a magnificient fire engine with real water and a huge ladder. Your child might like to make a fire engine, police car, ambulane, etc.
PLEASE WRITE ON OUR BLOG AND SHARE ANY PHOTOGRAPHS!
