Reception rumble in the forest 🍁

Children in Reception will benefit form fortnightly Forest School sessions led by Mrs Armstrong who is a trained forest school leader. For our first full session this week we discussd safety rules around our fire circle by playing games, we did a team game collecting different coloured 'worms' and we went on a scavenger hunt to discover our forest school environment further. The children went on to explore their environment independently and participate in their own interests. We discover lots of insects in our Forest School including a huge family of woodlice as well as spiders and worms. The children enjoyed digging in the wood and transporting water as well as engaging in nature art to create woodland crowns.
