Moving Vehicles - Fire Engines

Lesson: Design and technology

This term Year 2 have been learning about The Great Fire of London. In our themed approach the Design Technology lessons taught the children how to make moving vehicles (fire engines).

There were several processes and steps the children had to follow to make their vehicle:

• They had to design it.
• Mark out and measure the axles and chassis.
• Coonect the axles to the chassis.
• Put together the body and paint it.
• Decorate with appropriate features.
