Lesson: Design and technology

During the first half term in Autumn, we designed and made our own fire engine as part of our vehicles topic. This linked in to our learning about The Great Fire of London. First we investigated different axles and learnt about how vehicles move. On our fire engines we used a rotating axle, which we made using wide straws to hold the axle and allow it to move.
