Autism Awareness 31-3-17

Lesson: British Values

Class: Year 4F Year: 2016 - 2017

Today the children explored ways in which we are different. We discussed Autism and what it might mean to be autistic. The children discusssed their own understanding of autism and we looked at pictures which can be interpreted in different ways. Some children saw 2 faces, while others saw an hourglass timer. A short video also helped the children to understand how autistic children might see things differently and they then drew a picture based on what they could remember from a visual. The children were really sensitive and understanding during the session, well done.
