Lesson: Geography

We had a busy first week back Spring 1 term.  We learned about Europe, Russia and world countries for 3 days.  We learned lots of new things, why not ask us what we learned?!

In one of our lessons we learned about Russia.  We shared facts about the geography of the country, the food eaten in this country and we looked at the flag and the currency.  We also loved learning some Russian greetings.  We now use them in our class and when we do our register.  If you want to learn more Russian check out this fabulous website.

After learning about the country we looked at famous Russian buildings.  We especially liked St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow as we thought it looked like it was made out of sweets and ice cream!  We used this as our inspiration and painted our own Russian buildings.  Each of our paintings is unique, just like us!
